As to Hays County, Texas, are there, in the County library or other locations or does anyone know of Confederate War "enlistment" records or "muster" records as to Civil War Regiments which were "raised" in Hays County. I'm looking for information as to "Louie Blumentritt" who "mustered-in" at San Marcus, Hays County,Texas into Company B, 7th Regiment, Texas mounted Volunteers. I'm aware of the records at Hill College but wanted to see if any County records exist. He was my great-great-grandfather and starting project on him. Trying to find info on his birth place in Germany. Any help, info, etc is appreciated.
