I have some information, not precise documentation, of Ragsdale family going back to England 1525. Godfrey Ragsdale emigrated to Virginia in 1644 or so. Family moved to Kentucky 1770s or so. Other given names in US are Godfrey (there were 8), William (2 of those) and Robert M. David Ellis Ragsdale lived in Owensboro KY 1847-1925. His daughter was Pauline.
