Looking for relatives of my grandfather born approx. June 1921. Supposedly lived in Uzbekistan and left home early and then went to war. Later captured by Germans and lived in Greece for 11 or so years where he eventually met and married Olympia, then emigrated to Australia in 1949 (arrived in 1950 in Melbourne). He was known as Sasha (Alexander) Giovanof at the time he left Greece arrived in Melbourne Australia. He was the eldest child in a family of several children. His mother is supposedly from Ukraine, father (muslim?) from ?? | |||||||||||||||||||||
