Looking for any living relatives of Beatrice Buie (Smith)of Mound Bayou, Mississippi. She came from a large family in this area. Her mother's name may have been Lelar or Lela Buie. Her father was a full-blooded Native American (Creek?). I was told they were sharecroppers somewhere in Bolivar County. Her date of birth was around September 1926. She moved to New York and became a hat maker. Married Rupert Smith around 1950. Gave birth to one daughter named Brenda in October 1957. Beatrice (Bea) died January 1958, in New York, New York. Name of one of her brother's is Percy or Percival who lived in New York around 1960's, may have died sometime in 1970's. There is another brother named Joseph, and a set of twin siblings (one boy, one girl, names, ages unknown). At least one of her sisters may have moved to the Chicago or St. Louis area.
