I'm an adoptee who is searching for my birth mother, birth father, birth siblings, and/or birth family. I was born on October 27, 1974 at Nesbitt Memorial Hospital in Kingston, PA. It was a private adoption setup by Dr. Harry Alexanderian of West Pittston, PA. The birth mother was approx. 14 yrs old (of Polish decent and Roman Catholic) when I was born and birth father was listed as unknown. My amended birth certificate was not completed until August 1979 due to the age of the birth mother. I was adopted by Sally A. (Williams) McGinly and Robert E. McGinley of Forty Fort, PA. I also believe I am of mixed racial decent. The doctor who setup this private adoption, Dr. Harry Alexanderian, was known at this time to place mixed race children but never tell the adoptive parents. He was my primary physician until I was 18 yrs. old. He told my adoptive parents that if I ever wanted to know who my birth mother was, he would tell me after I turned 18. He never did!! He said that he "lost" the records and could not help me. Also, his wife name is Adel and her brother (attorney but I can't remember his name) was the one who handled the case for my adoptive parents. This past March I underwent a breast biopsy but Thank God it wasn't cancer. This procedure brought up alot of questions and feelings, due to the fact that I couldn't tell my doctor if my family had a history of breast cancer. Contact Information: Heidi L.
