Hi, I am looking for more information on my ancester Elias Foss born somewhere in Germany c1739 d. 13 Mar 1842: served in Waldeck Regiment in Commissary General's Department during the Revolutionary War and came to NB in 1783 as a Loyalist: wife's name is not provided: the family settled at French Lake in Burton Parish, Sunbury County: Children: 1) Christopher Foss b. 1777 NY, d. 28 Mar 1863, Houlton, Maine, m. c1801 Esther Bailey born 26 Jul 1783, died 6 Oct 1866, d/o Benjamin Bailey and Susannah Wanty: 2) Elizabe th Foss married 7 Jan 1800 Joseph Thomas: 3) George Foss b. c1781, m. 29 Jan 1816 at Hampton, NB, Rebecca Yeoman: 4) John Foss born 16 Oct 1785, d. c1850, married 1 Feb 1810 at Burton, NB, Lucretia Christianna Stennick born 25 Dec 1786 at Swan Creek, d. c1850: settled at French Lake: had issue.
