Birth name: B, Robert Christoper Adopted name: Weston, Paul Robert DOB 22/04/72,22-04-72,1972-04-22 - I was born April 22, 1972 in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada to young parents (17 years old). After being chosen for adoption, I stayed with a loving foster mother who took care of me until I was adopted out to a wonderful family later that year. My adoptive family raised me well and gave me a great childhood. I have thought about my birth family often over the years, but only now that I have 3 children of my own am I finally taking the steps to make contact. I have applied to the Ontario provincial adoptee disclosure registry and am awaiting arrival of additional information relating to my adoption. However, being adopted after 1970, the law only gave me a last initial and not a complete last name, so searching may be difficult. I am exploring these additional tools in the hope that it may lead somewhere. The name on my adoption record was Robert Christopher B, so I know my birth mother's last name started with a B. My adoptive parents were only given verbal information at the time of the adoption - they know only that both birth parents were 17 and French Canadian. I want my birth parents to know how wonderful my life turned out to be, and not to worry about what happened to me. I grew up with many friends and relatives, travelled, completed school and went on to work in the IT industry. My adoptive parents have been together for over 40 years now and are happy and healthy. I had an older brother and sister growing up, we were all 3 years apart and very close. We all have kids now. So if this note finds you, I welcome contact should you desire it also. Just wanted you to know that I respect what a difficult decision you had to make 36 years ago, but that I went to a loving place and turned out just fine.
