I am trying to find information about my great-great grandparents and their ancestors before they left Ireland. My great-great grandfather was John Clark and he, along with a good friend, James Magill, sailed from Ireland to the United States arriving on Feb. 21, 1861. He married Frances (Fannie) Hannah Barnett, also from Ireland, on Jan. 27, 1868 in Shelby County, Indiana, USA. His friend James Magill married Fannie's twin sister, Martha, in Ohio, USA. John Clark was born in Enniskillen, County Fermanagh, Ireland on March 17, 1838 and worked at farming until leaving for the USA. His future wife, Frances Barnett also was born in Ireland but I do not know the location, Her parents were Maser and Martha (Lyons) Barnett. Frances and her twin sister Martha were born Sept. 25, 1848. I would love to find information of any decendants of these relatives still living in Ireland. My mother, sister, wife and I are visiting Ireland in Sept. this year (2008) and would love to celebrate my mother's 80th birthday (Sept. 9) with any distant cousins while in Ireland. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
