Sarah Elizabeth Highsmith was born 11 Mar 1860 in Meridian, Lauderdale MS to Daniel and Elizabeth Caroline Carroll Highsmith (would love documentation on that) I think my Daniel was in the Confederate 8th Regiment Mississippi Infantry. He and Caroline married 18 Sep 1853 in Coffee Co, AL. Possibly born 1833 and died in the war. Caroline moved back to AL and married James Jefferson Davis.
