Charles Robinson - born in Lincolnshire, England 1845, he came to New Zealand and settled on the West Coast - Hunts Beach, Okerito, Hunts Beach, Ross, Arawata River, Jackson Bay, then moved to Wellington sometime after 1889 (based on a family bible noting that his 2nd to last child, Grace Mabel, was born in Jackson Bay December 1889. The last child, Charles Walter was born in Wellington 1892). In Wellington he apparently worked for the Lands & Deeds department. I have also seen the name Robert Louis Charles Robinson used in regard to my Charles Robinson. Charles married Johanne Fredericke Caroline Eggeling from Salzgitta, Hanover, Germany. She was born in 1850 and came to NZ with her sister Julia and a brother, Christian Henry. The rest of the Eggeling family arrived in 1875. Robinson children in age order are Mary Julia Robinson, Robert Louis Robinson, Charles Augustus Robinson, Johanne Fredericke Robinson, Caroline Gertrude Robinson, Elizabeth Charlote Robinson, Joseph Lawson Robinson, Louise Eliza Robinson, Alice Edith Robinson, Maud Constance Robinson, Grace Mabel Robinson & Charles Walter Robinson. Names I have been given in regard to the Eggeling family are as follows. Johannes father was Ludwig Fredericke Christian Eggeling. Her sisters and brothers were apparently a mix of full, half and maybe an adopted brother, her Dad married twice apparently. In order of age there are Christian Henry Eggeling, Johanne Eggeling (as written in the bible I have or Johanna) Julia Henrietta Louisa Fredericke Eggeling, August Henry Fredrick Eggeling, Maria (aka Mary) Eggeling, Caroline (aka Lena) Eggeling, William Christian Eggeling, Frederik Christian Eggeling and Ludwig (aka Louis) Eggeling.
