Thomas Langan of Cty Mayo,Ireland born 1816 came tp the US and settled in Scranton,PA. He married Margaret and had these children: Mary (1850-1889) who married Patrick Gilroy and lived in Pittston,PA, James 1852, Catherine 1854,Bridget 1856, Margaret 1858, Sabina 1863 who married Thomas Murphy, John 1865 and Peter 1866. Thomas Langan died between 1870 and 1880. Two of Thomas' siblings also came to Pennsylvania: Peter born 1819 and David born 1835.
