Searching for the father and ancestors of Adam Christophel b. 26 aug 1844 somewhere in the Rhineland Pfalz, probably Rohrbach. Mother was a widow by the 1860 Census in Cincinnati, OH. Adam m. Catherine Kuntz and had 8 children with her: John, George, Joseph, Charles, Peter Adam, Francis, Louise, and Kate. Adam was a cigar maker and lived in Cincinnati until his death at age 47 in 1892. Mother, Maria Anna (Kompeis) Christophel died in 1862 and is buried in Old St. John's Catholic Cemetery on Vine Street in Cincinnati. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
