My ancestor Elizabeth Jane Hardy was born in the 1840s on the Island of Jersey, to Thomas and Charlotte(Groves) Hardy. Elizabeth Stuart was married to Wm. cornish , on May 25, 1868, at Bowmanville, Ont. His parents according to the Marr. reg. index bk. for Durham Co., were Thomas and Prudence Cornish. According to Bowmanville censuses, there was a daughter Mary Stuart . I am wondering if descendents or others may know when Elizabeth was married to the Stuart? Stewart -obviously between 1861 and 1868, as she and parents are in the 1861 census for Bowmanville. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
