I am the great grand daughter of Henry simons. His family left from county cork in Ireland when he was very small. He took his first steps the ship coming over to Canada. They settled in Ontario around Cornwall. They were farmers. His son Arnold moved to the USA in 1956 with his wife and 4 children. I am Arnold's grand daughter and would like to know more about my Irish heritage,clans,crests and colors. The Irish spelling is Simons or similar to it. I believe it was Henry's sister who changed the spelling to Symonds in Canada.
