Frederick Salade, Salathe, a clockmaker, on page 66 of The Pennsyvania-German Society, footnote. Freddeerick Sallade came from the Canton of Basle, Switzerland. Emigrated by ship "Queen of Denmark" qualifying at Philadelphia Oct 4, 1751. Naturalized Sept 1765. He belonged to a French Huguenot family of good lineage, long established in the ancient province of Provence, but owing to persecutions became exiles in Switzerland. OK, on the same page, records of the Tohickon Church, Frederick Salade and wife Barbara are witnesses to the bap. 8 Sept 1746. so, they didn't come in 1751. I'd like very much to hear from anyone that can help me find his birth. Bette Weisel Millaway <millaway@msn.com> | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
