I have hit a roadblock on my Mother's side of the family. Her Greatgrandmother's name was Emma Copeland. Emma married Charles W Layman in Illinois in 1875. I think Charles was from Pennsylvania, however, I'm not entirely sure, and I don't seem to be able to find out anything pertaining to these two individuals.
