Looking for immigration data on my Great-great-grandfather Georg Seifert (misspelled any number of ways -- Seiffert, Seiffertt, Seufertt, Seifertt, etc.). The family (his wife's name was Mary (nee Geiger)) lived in Lorain County, Ohio when my Great-grandfather Joseph was born in 1880. He was born after the census. Georg was born in Bavaria and Mary plus two older children were born in Wurtemburg/Wirtemburg. The birth dates of the children born in Germany, vs. the birth dates of children born in Ohio, puts the immigration timeframe between 1871 and 1875. I believe it to be 1873 but can find no evidence. Great-grandfather Joseph and his immediate decendents eventually wound up in the greater Cleveland area. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
