I have ancestors who I believe were from Lomza, Poland in the late 1800's into the low 1900's when they arrived in New York, Ellis Island he in 1903 and her in 1907. Their names were Zalewski and they settled in Brooklyn, N.Y., with my grandmother Harriet and her sister Jean. Harriet was born in 1910,and her sister was born a few years earlier. Jean died giving birth in 1930, having a daughter. I would like to find some Zalewski's that were from New York or Lomza, Poland, or of course, their ancestor's being from either place. My mother is close to 80 years old and it would be wonderful if she could learn of some cousins that are still alive. Thank you. | |||||||||||||||||||||||||
