Looking for any information on Christopher Engel 3rd,(or Engle) born Sept. 6, 1868 in McLean County, IL. He was the oldest child of Christopher and Mary Schertz Engel. It is known that, due to her father's disapproval, he eloped and married Elsie Lacy in Havana, IL. They had a daughter who died in infancy and a son Melvin. It is said that Christopher died Dec. 31, 1916 - Murdered by an unknown assailant in New Castle, IL. Would also like information on his son, Melvin. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
