Hi I'm looking for information on John McCristal and Mary Jane Hamilton. They are my ggg-grandparents. Their death certificates say they were married in Co Tyrone. Mary's death certificate also says she was born in Enniskillen in Co Fermanagh and her parents were Robert Hamilton (an architect) and Catherine McBryan. John's death certificate says he was born in Co Tyrone and his parents were Thomas McCristal (farmer) and Margaret Quone (in other documents it is written McKeon). Mary was born in approx. 1819/20 and John was born in approx. 1820. They immigrated to Australia in approx. 1841. They settled in Yea / Holesworth in Victoria. Their son John McCristal married Mary Francis O'Connor. Note: John was the brother of Edward McCristal, a convict who late settled in Bellingen, NSW. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
