Gloria Sayer (married name) / Gloria Grant (married name) is my birth mother. She was raised in the Iron Range of Minnesota and left there for California in the mid 60's where I was born Laura Lee Sayer on 1-12-65 in Torrance CA. My brother was born Arthur Grant (the second) on 2-25-66 in Butler PA. Gloria returned to MN shortly after to attend cosmetology school in St. Cloud Mn. She worked with Mrs. Dottie at Children's Home Society in Minneapolis to place us in a family. We were Adopted out on 5-24-67 after living in foster care with Margaret Lawyer (and husband and 6 kids) for exactly one year in Biwabik MN. Gloria visited us there several times. Gloria had one sister. Her Father left the family when she was about 12. I'm told she had a big smile, was 5'4" with sandy brown hair and blue eyes (just like me). I've met my foster mom and got all this information from her. My brother is not in good health and it would be great to get some medical history. Apparently Aurthur Grant the first died in Vietnam. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
