"I'm looking for information on a HANK WOOTEN who went by the stage name of Hank Wilson and sang with a couple of ladies who went by "The Oklahoma Sweethearts" in the early 60s on the honky tonk circuit when he was in his 40s. I think he was my Dad. My Mom was Georgia Windle but went by Sandi Lee and was one of "The Oklahoma Sweethearts" I spent the first 5 years of my life on the back of that bus. I don't know much about the man I speak of, other than he wrote "To Aunt Jan & Uncle Derek love Kathy Wooten." on a baby picture of me that he gave to my mom's sister. Since the name on my birth certificate is not Wooten I asked my Aunt about it. She said it was the guy who took my mom to the hospital when I was born, she said "He wasn't your dad but he sure wanted to be." and she showed me a professionally taken signed glossy of Hank Wooten & the Oklahoma Sweethearts. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
