William & Mary Ellen (Aikens) Couch married 1879 and moved from Hullet Township, Huron County, Ontario with their family to operate a farm in Gosfield, Essex County, Ontario, Canada William John Couch, b. 1860, Usborne Township, South Huron County, Ontario Wife: Mary Ellen Aikens, b. 1857 of Nova Scotia Children: William Couch, b. 1879, Hullet Township, Huron County, Ontario Margaret Sophia Couch, b. 1883, Hullett Township, Huron County, Ontario Annie Couch, b. 1887, Gosfield, Essex County, Ontario William John Couch died 1887, so Mary Ellen (Aikens) Couch remarried in 1891 to Emery Nelson of Grimsby, Lincoln County, Ontario. Both continued operating the farm in Gosfield. Emery Nelson, b. 1855, Grimsby, Lincoln County, Ontario Mary Ellen (Aikens-Couch) Nelson, same Children: John Almer Nelson, b. 1895, Essex County, Ontario William Couch, b. same, married Fannie Lester, b. 1887, Amherstberg, Essex County, Ontario with known child, Annie Couch, b. 1922 Margaret Sophia Couch, b. same, married Howard John Mortimore, b. 1880, Colchester, Essex County, Ontario with known child, Ellen Fern Mortimore, b. 1906 Annie Couch, b. same, married George Vincent, b. 1874, Gosfield, Essex County, Ontario with known child, Morris G.
