I would like to trace any of my McGowan ancestors that were living in Manchester, England, after the 1851 census. They were, Miles, Bridget, James, George and John. George- my Great grandad, went to live in Bolton, Lancashire. All the others seem to have disappeared and were assumed to have emmigrated to America.
