Thanks to a subscriber to this site, who whom I am very grateful,I have found my birth mother's family, who still live in the Kent area. An unlikely shot now but I and my surviving birth family have no information on my birth father, not even a name. My brothers were unaware of my existence until recently. Everyone who might have had such knowledge is now dead. So if anyone knew my birth mother, Gladys Emily Mary Miller, in the war years, when she would have been about 21 and has any idea who my father was, please get in touch. Only info I have is that he was "posted away", so was almost certainly in the forces. Gladys lived at Thanet Road, Ramsgate with her parents, older brother and sister and worked as a telephonist. She was very fond of animals. My adoptive name is Carol Allen, born Carol Ann Miller. I was born on 8th August 1941 and the birth was registered by Gladys on 2nd September 1941. | |||||||||||||||||||||
