My name is Jen. I am searching for my birth father and his name is James Lawrence. James and my birth Mother Jean Gay would have been together around 1972 -1973. I was born in 1974. I am searching for James becuase every adoptee wants to know the unknown. I understand that either James did not know that Jean was pregnant or did not want anything to do with the pregnancy. I understand and hold no hard feelings as this was in a time when things like this where not acceptable. We all make decision's that we wish we could take back. I would really like to know if I have any other family out there. So to repeat I was born on January 7, 1974 at Hennepin county hospital. My mothers name was Jean Gay and the name listed in the court papers was a James Lawrence. The social services department try to locate James and follow up with many address that Jean gave them. All with no luck. I do not know what James looked like. Nor do I have any features to describe about him. One set of paperwork that I have says that he was 42 in 1974 and another one that came from a different agency that states that he was 19 in 1974. My birth mother also had 2 other daughters one names Susan and the other named Audery. Jean over the years has lived in Minneapolis whether is be N,S,E,W. She has also lived in Anoka. Jean has passed away. I regret not getting to know her sooner. I do not want to wait to long. I would like to have met my birth father before he passes as well. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
