I'm looking for O'Donnell family members from Donegal, especially the areas of Killybegs and Shalwey, Kilcar. John O'Donnell was born in Philadelphia, PA, USA, but his parents returned to Ireland with him when he was very young. He married Susan Hegarty there around 1859-1860. They had at least 9 children: Dennis in 1860, Bridgette in 1863, Patrick 1864, Anne 1865, James 1867, Loretta 1871, Catherine 1872, Edward 1875, John 1880. Dennis, Patrick, Edward, James, Loretta, Bridgette, emigrated to the US. The rest of the family remained in Ireland, and John, the youngest, maintained the family home. Bridgette's husband, Dennis McFadden, returned to Ireland after her death in 1899. McFadden had a shop in Gortalia, which he left to his brother-in-law, Patrick Hegarty, Croaghbeg. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
