I am looking for the ancestors of my grandfather, James W. Dodge. He was born in Madison, WI between 1895-99. The LDS base lists him as being born about 1899, but at Salt Lake City, UT, which is incorrect. He was adopted as a child by Thomas Steele (US Congressman, Iowa) and I can find no record of his natural parents. James was an Army medic in WWI and he married Jenne Hyde and had 4 children, Barbara, Tom, James Jr. and Frank C. Dodge. He settled and raised his family in Oxnard, CA. He died there in 1968.
