AN 1895 BABY BORN BY THE BIRTH NAME OF LONG THEN PUT UP FOR ADOPTION I am searching for information on my father Walter M.(or W. M.) Long who was born in Salem, Marion County, Oregon March 20, 1895 to Ed and Elsie Long. He was then put up for adoption. Walter was short in stature being only 5' 5" tall. Ed and Elsie Long are listed on the 1895 Marion County census but at separate addresses. A family Bible my dad left behind also lists his birth parents as Ed and Elsie Long. Was Ed a nick name or given name? Could his name have been Edward, Eddie or some other variation? Walter was adopted by James and Dora Parker in Philomath, Oregon. As a youth I remember him having found a biological sister living in Seattle. He did not record her name and I do not remember it. Will appreciate any information. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
