Kincaids of east Texas: Doshia Kincaid (1891-c.1977) was a native of Red River county, Tx. Blossom, Tx (where she was born) is in the NE corner of Texas, not far east from Paris, Tx. in the adjoining county. I think the Kincaids had been in this part of Tx. since at least the 1870's but may have been in the old republic of Texas, some years earlier. It is possible that some were in Austin's colony, but I am unsure on this point. To this very day there is still a Kincaid Reunion in the Red River county area of Texas.
