I am looking for the origin of my family name which is now spelled Guinta, but I am told was formerly Guinto. We are, of course, Italian, but I would like to know more. What is the meaning of the surname, Guinto? Does it define a region, have another connotation? If this is your family name or you have direct knowlege, please share with me.
