I am one of two twin grandsons of Dr. James Murt McKeever, who I'm positive grew up in Dallas, Texas. My grandfather was a mysterious man who tended to spin very strange tales, one of which was that his father, also of the Dallas area, helped solidify the current zip code system we use today. My grandfather claimed that his father was Postmaster General of Texas, or Dallas, or something. He also claimed that he was the mastermind behind "The Jetsons." Anyway, all I'm interested in is who his father was. He was married to Joan Rattan, my maternal grandmother. He was a photographer, and also had a photographic memory which I can personally attest to. He had a brother who lived and died in Ovilla, TX, known as Buddy McKeever. Buddy's children are Steve, Mark, and Melissa. James Murt's daughters by another wife whose name I don't know are Dawn and Christa, both of who live in California at last calling. James Murt died in Eagle Point, Oregon, leaving behind his widow, Jeannie, of Vancouver, Canada, now known as Jeannie King. My grandfather was a Christian minister who started a ministry/business known as Omega Ministries. He built a 70 acre ranch with five three story houses and a built in lake and several bomb shelters from that ministry. He was a weird dude. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
