Josiah PURLE. Born St.Helena C1853 Died UK 1918 My great grandfather worked on the ships going backwards and forwards from UK to St.Helena. He married Annie WHITCHER in Southampton in 1876. Having traced them on the 1891 and 1901 census I now find he was born in St.Helena c1853. On IGI I have found a William John Purle married to Caroline Penelope EDDLESTONE in 1852 in St.Helena who could be his parents. Caroline is daughter of James Isacke EDDLESTONE and Caroline BURNHAM residents of St. Helena. Annie PURLE daughter of Josiah and Annie, married my grandfather Frank William EVANS in 1911 in West Ham.
