Query Text: |
I am looking for any information about my great-great-great-grandfather/grandmother. His name was Hasard Morey, born about 1775 in the Province of New York or New Hampshire. He married an Native American Indian, name unknown, and they had one child, Peter Morey, botn 1804. They moved from the U.S. to Clarke Townnship, Kirby, Ontario, Canada about 1832. Hasard Morey died about 1851, but little is known about his wife. Peter Morey married Mary Levingston and they had 7children, Merit/Amanda/Samuel/William/George/Charles and Elizabeth. Of those 7 children, Amanda Morey was my great-grandmother. She was born in 1834 and was married to John Chapman. They had 6 children, Joseph/John/Anna/Isaac/Ada Zilla and Victoria. Of those 6 children, Ada Zilla Chapman was my grandmother. Whe was born in 1866 and was married to James Morrow. They had 6 children, James/Zilla/Dalton/Robert/Eva and Roma. Of those 6 children, Robert Morrow was my Dad. We know very little of the Morey's and I am particularly interested in finding out something about Hasard Morey's wife - a Native American Indian woman, for whom we don't even have a name. It is very sad to me that anywhere we find a reference to her, she is listed only as female Indian. If you can help me find any information here, I would really appreciate it. I really don't know how to go about tracing Native American Indian ancestors. Thanks for any help you can give me. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
