Looking for birth parents of two girls given for adoption around 1918. Last name was Webster, the first names they were given (do not know if they are the names given at birth) were Doris and Elva. Both are now deseased, but I am Doris's daughter and would like to know our biological genealogy as I am now half a century old and would like to leave the information for my children. If anyone knows anything about the adoptions or has any idea where I should look, please let me know. Doris was adopted by Isaac and Emma Bouton in NYS. She was told her father died in the war and her mother died of the flu in 1918, however, a relative told her that their mother was still alive (around 1960-70). I don't know much about Elva except her date of birth and death and surname at time of death was McLean in NH. Doris remembered horses from the time before her adoption (before age 5). She was told she was part Native American Indian and that her NAI name was Alafereta. If you can tell me anything about this unusual name. I would be appreciative too! Thank you. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
