BOZAK/FEDOREW - Have met with dead ends after years of searching to document my Grandparents lives. They came from Poland to Glenella Manitoba Canada around 1900 then on to Hudson Bay Junction a few years later. Gfather worked with CN Railroad. Immigration records were destroyed in Ottawa. Would greatly appreciate any help because I'm so frustrated and don't want to give up. I even bought the MyFamily multi CD pack and found nothing. We know very little about our roots. They worked too hard to be forgotten and vanish into history. I did make cabbage rolls a few days ago ;o) Here is what info I have on a birth registration (Saskatchewan, Canada) Mike BOZACK b: Feb. 23, 1874 in Polshua Balua Clega (Dalua Clega) Austrian Post Lubuva, Poland. Mary FEDOREW b: 1879 in Nowerest Post Clegwow Mota, Polska, Poland. Married in Nowerest, Poland. The children have all spelled the last name as BOZAK. Perhaps the birth registration had a typing error? The locations were probably spelled as the clerk heard them. I can't find any of them. Surnames have probably been changed also. A cousin did say he thought they could have come from Cieszanow, Lubaczow or Jaroslaw but has no documentation. Other related names to this family (also immigrated to Canada) Zdan and John (Jon?) Fedorow (possibly Mary's 1/2 brother) - Deacon in Ukranian Catholic Church in Hudson Bay as well as in Dauphin Manitoba. My Grandmother's sister was Anastasia Fedorew, married a fellow named Baker changed from Pekarsh? (meaning Baker in Polish). They also came to Canada around the same time.
