I have traced the lineage of my grandfther, Joseph MacAfee Coulter, as shown below. I am looking for information on this line of Coulters prior to Morrison John Scott Coulter. Joseph MacAfee Coulter Jr, born 12 July 1874, Gonzales Texas. Died 31 December 1951, Gillette, Wyoming. Joseph MacAfee Coulter, born 1847, Covington County, MS. Died 19 September 1926, Llano, Texas. Morrison John Scott Coulter, 25 August 1816, Georgia. Died unknown (is in 1880 Federal Census in Gonzales, TX. Married Anna, b. N Carolina 1817. Children Jasper J., b 1839; William R, b 1841; Susan E., b 1843; John H., b. 1845; Joseph Macafee, b. 1847; and Charles J., b. 1840. I have some small indication that his father may have been Peter Coulter, who entered the 1805 Georgia Land Lottery but was not drawn as a winner. A Widow Sarah Coulter entered the same lottery and was a winner, but I haven't found any further information on her either. Thank you for any help you can provide. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
