I am searching for my daughter who was born in Napier, NZ, 17 September 1973. I believe her first name is Bridget. Have recently discovered via the internet that she is also searching for me via this site - registration #186182 - posted 01 October 08. In 1973 I was banished from Taranaki and sent to Bethany Home in Napier by my parents who refused to support me if I kept my child. I lived at Bethany Home for about 5mths but was kicked out towards the end of my pregnancy after I hit the supervisor for cutting off a desperate phone call I was having with my mother, begging her to let me keep my child. I was then forced to live with my aunt in Napier and gave birth at the Napier Maternity Home. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
