My father's bio mom. This all happened in when he was about 6-8 years of age. 1919-1921 in Chelais, Washington. According to the story I got, Emma Livingston was on her way home on the bus when she noticed a woman was two children. Struck up a conversation with the woman and the woman said she had to give her children up because she could not care for them. She told Emma that if she wanted them to show up at the Welfare Office the next morning and she could have them. Out of coursity Emma went down the next morning and there was the woman and her two children. One was a girl and the other was a boy. The girl was sickly and Emma would not take her, but she took the boy, which turned out to be my father. I have no idea if an adoption took place or not. The couple that took John was, don't even know if that was his birth name, Charles and Emma Livingston. If anyone has any info on this it would be greatly appreciated. I am the only child left born to John Livingston and would really like to know something. Have been in the clouds for many years. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
