Robert Clifton Newell Sr. (1910-1975) DC I am searching for information surrounding the death of my grandfather, Robert Clifton Newell, born 1 Aug, 1910, and died sometime in December 1975, according to the Social Security Death Index. His last known address was in the Langdon area of DC 20018. Robert C. Newell had been homeless for several years prior to 1975 and he was known to have frequently stayed at the Salvation Army shelters for the homeless. Several Newell family members think that he left the District of Columbia boundaries during his final days, and he may have died in the Virginia suburbs south of DC.
