Wanting info about my G.G.Grandfather, John Callaghan born abt 1805-1808, Shanagolden, Limerick. Prob. Roman Catholic. Enlisted in the army unit , 22nd Reg. of Foot in Limerick, Ireland in 1825 aged 19. Fought in the wars in India and spent 5 years in the East Indies.Left the army was living in Hampshire England 1851-1861, on Census, recorded as Chelsea Pensioner. Married Mary Corbett abt 1851 had 2 children John Jnr and Mary Ann Callaghan. Died sometime in England after 1861. Need info abt his marriage to Mary and his family in Ireland.
