UPDATED ON 12/7/2008!!! Stefen Pukancik married twice. Stefen and the second wife (who i am unsure of her name), had a daughter named Mary (Mary Pukancik). I still do not have all the facts on Mary, but I do know that her last name changed to Svrcina (i am assuming she married someone with that last name), and then it went to Schwartz (maybe when she came to the US), and eventually it somehow ended up as Swartz and passed down as Swartz to her children. On her obituary she is listed as Mary L. Swartz. So there is a lot to find out, but hopefully someone has some more pieces to the puzzle. I am unsure of who Mary was married to, but she did have 4 kids: Anna, Cyprian(Cyril), Paul, and Rudolph. Anna died when she was very young. Paul and Rudolph I have some information on, but I am REALLY looking for information on Norma Beam (Cyril's first wife). They had at least 4 kids together, but unfortunately no one knew anything about her, and as quick as she was part of the family one day, is as quick as how she disappeared. One of their children is Darlene (who married Jim Fox). She knows all the information, but no one knows where she went either. We do know that about 30 years ago she lived in New York.... If anyone thinks this sounds familiar or has any information, I will take anything!! ~Amy~ a more detailed summary: Stefen Pukancik was from Bratislava and was married twice. The first wife was Theresa (not sure of spelling). They had Rudolph (born April 19, 1911 and died about 1978/1979) and Joseph (born around 1908). Stefen and Theresa's children were born in the US and before the war broke out, Theresa took Rudy and Joseph to Czech and stayed there until Rudy was 17 years old. Rudy came back to the US when he was 17, but Theresa and Joseph stayed for a little longer. When Rudy came to the US he stayed with his aunt Anna Pricapa(i think i really messed up that last name)(who was Theresa's sister)(Pricapa was anna'a married name, not maiden name). Stefen stayed in Europe and never came over to the US. The second wife's name is unknown, but they had a child Mary(born about 1893 and died June 14, 1971 in Scranton, Pennsylvania - no one is sure how she got there, since she had been living in new york since she immigrated there, sometime around 1914)(There is a 1930 census for her and her married family, which of course gives more information, message me for specifics).
