Query Text: |
I our would like to trace our genealogy from my maternal grandfather's side - the Breugelmans. My grandfather's family were from Bruges and may have run an inn there. My great-grandparents, Oscar and Renilda (nee Reinhardt from the Netherlands) emigrated to the United States before WWI. They returned to Belgium for a family visit before the war broke out and then were stuck there for the duration of the war. My great-grandfather, Oscar, had 9 or 10 siblings, I think in Bruges. One brother (Richard?) moved to Paris and became a baker there. My grandfather, Richard Breugelmans and his sister was Suzanne Breugelmans (her married name was Nachtegaele) and their parents, Oscar and Renilda, emigrated first to Canada at the end of WW1 and later to the United States, in the 1920's. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
