Looking for my mother's birth parents. My mother was born 2-8-1960 in Michigan City, IN. She was told by her adoptive father, Norman Reuber, that her adoption was illegal and handled by a "Mrs. Gert" at St. Anthony's. As the story goes, my grandfather (Norman Reuber) paid some money to a local official named "Bud" Kintzele. After waiting for two years for a baby, Bud called my grandfather in the middle of the night and told him that he had a baby and Mrs. Gert would deliver her. Ironically, my mother went on to marry a Kintzele. She is a blonde haired, green eyed woman, though I imagine her eyes would have been more blue at birth. She was told her birth mother was 15 and of German American descent. Was told that her birth father was a taxi driver and was also young. Her adoptive parents are Norman and Mary (Regan) Reuber. Mary is deceased. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
