I am attempting to contact all McBirnies/McBurnies whose ancestors may have come from Ayrshire Scotland and originally from Ireland. In conjunction with the Homecoming Scotland 2009 events, we will be holding the McBirnie/McBurnie Family Gathering. Date: Aug 8 & 9 2009. Location:Manor Park Hotel, Prestwick, Ayrshire, Scotland. Events: Aug 8: registraiton 10.00 am. Day of family tree, photos, memorabilia. Dinner (optional) Aug 8: 8:00-midnight a traditional Scottish Ceilidh Sun 9: Morning tea and farewell to those having to leave early. Drive tour of the Maybole, Crosshill areas where our ancestors lived. I wish to locate living descendants, and invite them to attend our event.
