I am researching the origins of Edward John Hudson and his wife Emily Holmes who were married 26 Febraury 1864 in Adelaide South Australia. She born 3 April 1864 in Belvedere South Australia and was the daughter of Daniel Holmes and Sarah Cross. Edward John Hudson died pre 1915 I don't know where and Emily moved to Perth Western Australia and lived with her son Joseph Ernest Hudson and his wife Mary Davenport. She was married two other occasions, her name being Poole and Smith, the order of the marriages not known.. No other details yet known. She was photographed at Joseph's wedding oin 1915. Mary Davenport was the great great great grnad-daughter of Captain John Piper of Sydney/Bathurst New South Wales. The children of Jospeh and Mary all remebered Grandma Poole, so it is not unreasonable to presume her last marriage was to a Poole. My own mother, now aged 83 years, recalls grandma Poole when being courted by my father 1935-1939. The only record of a death of an Emily Poole I have found was that of a woman who died in 1928.
