I am searching for a younger brother, who was given up for adoption. His birth name was David James Imrie and he was born at Smithtown General Hospital in Long Island. Father's name is Daniel Imrie, Mothers name Gloria Imrie ,Wadley is her maiden name. I am alittle fuzzy on the exact date of birth but I had remembered that I was at a Birthday Party/Sleepover when the only time my mom was absent from the house and my cousin was there to watch us. So I tracked down Carolyn who is now in Fla. and she told me she was born on Christmas Eve so her Mom always had her party early because no one would come on Christmas eve. It narrowed it down to the month of December. I had thought he was born in 1967-68 but that could not have been right because when I spoke to Carolyn she went to a different elementary school than I did and we didn't meet till 7th grade which would put the year in 1969-70. I still live in Long Island so I was thinking of going to the Vital Records myself and just going through all the births for December 1969 and 1970 and so on, at least I have somewhere to start. I went on the on this site and paid for a membership for Publicrecordpro.com and it came up 0 matches when I put my own information and I have my original birth certificate, so I wasn't very encouraged. They basically give you the address where you can obtain the public records, but being so naive to this process I thought I get this great information on my laptop, that was silly of me. I would appreciate any help, hints , tips of where to look with the information I have to get an exact birth date. My Father was a redhead and three of the four older siblings have red hair or had red hair . My dear brother Robert passed away but there are two more brothers and me a sister and we have the same mom and dad. I want to me this remarkable person that I know he is.
