I am looking for the Williams family from Hamilton County Tennessee. The Chattanoga Tennessee area. My grandmother's name was Evelyn Williams She later married and became a Carroll. She was born March 30, 1912 died Septmeber 1984. Her sibilings were Dwight Lee Williams born October 13, 1917. He died October 1953. Dwight served in the Us Navy Reserve and fought in World War 2. Harry Odel Williams born 1911. He served in the military. Ray Williams born 5/01/1920 died 9/01/1986. Ray was a technician in the US Army. Carlton Williams born 1910. Margret Williams born 1916 she worked in the Cottin Mills. My great great grandmother was Ellen A. Hamiliton she later became a Ellen A. Williams. She married a Harry A. Williams She was from Georgia. At one time my great grandmother lived on Peach Street in Atlanta. She had a bunch of sisters and the only one I know about is Rowena Hamilton who later became a Rowena Pendela. My great grandmother Ellen was from Georgia and her family did not like my Grandfather Harry A. Williams he was supposed to be a real son of a gun. He came from a family of plantation owners. He later was a tenant farmer and Ellen's family disowned her for marrying Harry A. Williams. There is some Lowe Cherokee Indian blood from Ellen Hamilton side. The Lowe side was 100% Cherokee Indian she came from the Trail of Tears but she is still a Williams. My grandfather's name was Clarence Carroll died Aug 4, 1968. Clarence was an electrician. My grandparents lived on Star Route on the moutain. My grandparents owned a house on 200 acres of land but my grandmother Evelyn Mildred Carroll was swindled by a diabolical lawyer and lost her house and her land. After becoming sick and losing everything she died in 1984. Thats when the entire family disappeared. We cannot locate any of these Williams so please help. Carri | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
