My grandparents immigrated to Canada from Lithuania, via Scotland. Name used was Talavinskas but we can find no record of that name in Lithuania. They landed in Montreal initially and then moved to Nova Scotia. Name was changed to Savage. Cousins went to Conneticuit - Joseph and Anthony Talavinskas. Other cousins in Chicago have surname Sinkervitch. My grandfather was John Peter Talavinskas and my grandmother was Annie, maiden name Almonitis. There is a relative who goes by the last name Talwyn/Talwin who is involved in the movie-making industry.
