I was told my biological mothers name was, Patty Ann McNair and that she was 24 yrs. old at the time of my birth, March 20, 1949 at Los Ceritos hospital in Long Beach, CA. Her place of birth is Florida. However I have yet been able to find any birth or death records for anyone by that name. My biological father is Walter "Bill" Clinton Green. He was 21 yrs. old and in the US Navy at the time of my birth. He was born in Lexington. South Carolina. He denied paternity. At the time of my birth both persons had gone their seperate ways and were involved with other people. I was adopted in 1952 by Jack and Mary Crockett. At the time of my birth Mary owned a beauty shop on 7th Street in Long Beach, Ca and may have had the last name of Cover. I was told Pat lived in an apartment behind the beauty shop until my birth. I have a letter dated April 9th signed by Pat. She was living with the parents of a man named Simmons who was on the east coat waiting for her to recover and then join him in New York on aprox. 21 April 1949. I was given to my adoptive parents right after my birth and they moved to Torrance, CA shortly after my birth. The adoption wasn't court approved until 1952. I have found out my biological father lived in Washington State and had passed away in 1995 and therefore not available to ask any questions about biological mother. | ||||||||||||||||||||||||||||
